Megaflis
from tiles to homes
Berggård Amundsen
Megaflis is a Norwegian DIY and home improvement retailing company with 22 stores located around the country. The company started in the 90's and were only selling bathroom and kitchen tiles ("flis" in Norwegian), but now, almost 40 years later, they sell everything for your home, and are one of the biggest in their category. The old logo and visual identity didn't reflect the what the company has grown into and they needed a visual refurbishment.
We created the concept "from tiles to homes", which symbolises the change the company has gone through, going from flat 2D tiles to offering everything for your home. From 2D to 3D is also another way of looking at it, and this is reflected in the logo symbol.
Another aspect we had to consider was that the traditional target audience were mostly men. Now, however, there are more and more women shopping at Megaflis, and the client wanted the brand identity to be more attractive to the female audience. The softer colour palette is one of the elements which speaks to a broader audience.

"Good analysis and thoughtful considerations, and everything presented maintained a high standard and quality.”
